President Erickson warns against the danger of becoming casual with sacred things and calls for greater intentionality in worship, prayer, and reconciliation to counterbalance the adversary.

Saturday Evening Session
INVITATIONS
  • Be more intentional in your worship of Jesus Christ

  • Avoid being casual with prayer, the sacrament, the Sabbath, and temple worship

  • Recommit to using reverent language in prayer -thee, thou, thine

  • Be reconciled to your brother before coming to the Lord

  • Ask yourself who needs your forgiveness, so you can worship with a whole heart

  • Intentionality with sacred things will counterbalance the adversary's efforts, and attacks in our lives

  • Elevating the language of our prayers brings a connection to heaven, softens our hearts, and makes us more able to forgive, and seek forgiveness

  • If we are first reconciled to our brother, the Lord will receive us with full purpose of heart

  • Reconciliation with God, and with each other, will bring tranquility to the soul
